VISTE needs volunteers to help sort bags for their warehouse. The warehouse uses these bags to fill with donated food items to give to seniors in need.

Volunteers in Service to the Elderly (VISTE) is a community-based, non-profit organization serving Lakeland, Bartow, Mulberry and Ft. Meade. Established in 1983, the primary goal of VISTE is to enable frail elderly persons to continue living independently and safely in their own home. VISTE is a volunteer-driven organization that is successful because of the schools, churches, civic groups, local corporations, and individuals that help us. Though a small VISTE staff oversees program services offered to our clients, our dedicated volunteers perform the majority of the work.

Main Assignment Responsibilities

Pick up bags and an empty box from VISTE
Check bags for holes, cleanliness, and durability. Recycle those that will not be a good fit.
Flatten the good bags and place them into the box by color
Return the box to VISTE and collect more if you like
Time/Availability

VISTE is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm
This is a virtual assignment and can be done any time in any place
